There are many complimentary activities to enjoy at Maravu. Go horseback riding, have fun on our mountain bikes, explore the coastline in a kayak, or be enthralled by snorkelling off the beach and seeing the beauty of the underwater world. We also provide guided plantation walks, croquet, and bocchi ball. Several times a week you may witness a Fijian Kava ceremony and entertainment with our houseband, and there is a weekly Meke (Fijian songs and dances) and Lovo (Fijian underground oven feast). And of course, you may relax in a hammock on your private verandah, or by the pool, or stroll down to Maravu's beach for some sunbathing, swimming or beachcombing.

LEGENDS OF KAVA Learn about the history and preparation of kava - Fiji's traditional drink - and be a guest at a Traditional Fijian Kava Ceremony where you may be invited to taste it first hand. ALL ABOUT COCONUTS An interesting insight into the many uses and benefits of the coconut tree as used in the Fijian culture. FIJIAN COOKING LESSON Learn how to make the famous tropical dish of Kokoda LEARN ABOUT FIJIAN MEDICINE Natural healing with herbs and "Fijian magic" passed from generation to generation. LEARN TO SPEAK FIJIAN Learn The basic Fijian words to enable you to communicate with the locals on a village visit. LOVO NIGHT Come and see the traditional underground oven feast being prepared and learn to tie a Sulu. Before dinner, be entertained by the Meke Group - traditional Fijian singing and dancing.
